Build relationships. Share knowledge. Move forward together.

YOU’VE HEARD THE SAYING

“It’s not what you know, but who you know.”

What you know matters.
Who knows what you can do matters, too.

Social capital is the trust, knowledge, and support you can access through relationships. In a job search, it can look like advice, an introduction, a referral, or someone willing to speak up for your work.

You can build it, even if you’re starting with a small network. Show what you can do, take an interest in others, and follow through. Track how those relationships develop so you can see where your effort is creating stronger connections.

YOUR GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY

Enter the job market
with a plan.

A go-to-market strategy means deciding which roles to pursue, what value you bring, who you need to know, and how you’ll learn from the response. You can use this approach in any career field.

01 / CHOOSE YOUR TARGET

Know where you want to go.

Choose roles and organizations that fit your strengths and interests. Research their needs and the people doing the work.

02 / SHOW YOUR VALUE

Make your strengths clear.

Connect your experience to the problems you can help solve. Use specific examples in your résumé, profile, and conversations.

03 / BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

Reach people with purpose.

Ask thoughtful questions, share something useful, and follow through. Review what leads to conversations and adjust your approach.

Then review and adjust. Use your relationship and application progress to choose your next action: refine your message, follow up, or focus on a different opportunity.

Create your account, add your profile, and choose your first useful step.

COMMUNITY IS PART OF THE STRATEGY

Build your search
with people in your corner.

MissionXP brings jobseekers, volunteer professionals, and partner organizations into the same community.

Explore workshops, networking events, and career sessions. Learn from different perspectives and see the progress other jobseekers are making through community achievements.

Our volunteer professionals—called Champions—share experience, perspective, and feedback. Bring your questions, contribute what you know, and build relationships you can keep growing.

Understand the community support

BEFORE YOU START

A few things
you might be wondering.

Is this a job board or an automatic application tool?

MissionXP is built around your job-search strategy, social capital, and community. You choose the roles, lead the conversations, and submit applications yourself. A job board and AI-assisted preparation tools support that work; MissionXP does not auto-apply to jobs for you.

How does MissionXP help me measure social capital?

Log your outreach and conversations, update relationship stages, and review activity and progress over time. You can see contacts move from outreach to connection, informational conversation, follow-up, and Champion. Those records show signals of relationship growth. Your notes add the context: what you learned, how you helped, and who is willing to support you. The numbers don’t measure trust on their own.

What does a go-to-market strategy mean for a jobseeker?

It’s a focused plan for the job market: decide which roles and employers to pursue, explain the value you bring, build relationships with relevant people, and use feedback to improve your approach. MissionXP gives you tools to organize and measure that work.

Is it free, and do I need to join the Academy?

MissionXP is free for jobseekers across career fields. The relationship tracking, job pipeline, and career preparation tools work without Academy enrollment. The Academy is a separate, optional program for people pursuing tech sales.

What does community support include?

MissionXP brings together jobseekers, volunteer professionals, and partner organizations. Explore listed workshops, networking events, and career sessions, and see community achievements. Volunteers, called Champions, contribute perspective, feedback, and experience. Check each event or program for participation details and available support; creating an account does not guarantee a personal coach.
